Herb Garden Grants
The Herb Society of America offers an herb garden grant program for elementary school classes thanks to the generosity of Donald Samull. Elementary classrooms grades K-6 with ten students or more may apply for a grant to establish an herb garden. In addition to plants, the funds may be used for supplies such as soil, plants trays, containers, child or youth sized tools, etc. Applications are considered by a committee of HSA members in a blind review process. Toshiba America Foundation
The Toshiba America Foundation offers STEM grants to educators of K-5 students of up to $1,000. Will your innovative idea improve science, technology, engineering and math learning in your classroom and does it include project based learning with measurable outcomes? If you need supplies to make learning math and science fun for your students, applications are due by October 1, 2024. Apply here.
Celestron Binocular Grant
Cornell Labs of Ornithology in partnership with Celestron offers this grant, a gift of 10 pairs of binoculars, to K-12 teachers in public and private schools. If you are incorporating participatory science, or nature-based inquiry projects into your classroom and could benefit from the use of high-quality binoculars, be sure to apply by October 20th, 2024. No Child Left Inside (WA)
The Washington State Legislature created the No Child Left Inside grant program to provide under-served youth with quality opportunities to experience the natural world.
Grants are available for outdoor environmental, ecological, agricultural, or other natural resource-based education and recreation programs serving youth. Funding focuses on serving youth with the greatest needs and helping them improve their overall academic performance, self-esteem, personal responsibility, community involvement, personal health, and understanding of nature. Kids to Parks Day Grant
The National Park Trust is offering Kids to Parks Day School Grants to students from US Title I schools in grades PreK through 12. This grant program provides classrooms with up to $1,000 for in-park experiences. Funding can be used towards program fees, transportation costs, hands-on materials for remote learning activities, stewardship supplies, and any other materials needed for a robust learning experience. Celebrate Urban Birds Equity Mini-Grant
Cornell Labs of Ornithology and Celebrate Urban Birds are offering Mini-Grants to organizations serving communities that have been historically underrepresented in birdwatching, ornithology and the sciences. Mini-Grants of $200-$2,500 will support community-led applications that center Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in birdwatching through culture and the arts.
