Afterschool Nature Club
The Afterschool Nature Club compliments each student’s day in classroom with a fun-filled afternoon in the great outdoors.
Program Summary
Through weekly STEAM-based themed activities, students are provided engaging hands-on learning experiences and outdoor adventures that allow them to connect with nature, expand on their knowledge, and have fun in a relaxed, supportive setting.
This program fosters a love for the outdoors, encourages curiosity, and promotes physical activity, all while providing a refreshing contrast to the traditional classroom environment.
NOLA’s Outdoor Afterschool Program is led by experienced outdoor educators in 12-week Sessions.
Class Structure
Each Session features a specific focus topic chosen based on the needs/interests of the student population and existing school programming. These topics include: Wilderness Survival, Nature Art, Beaks & Binoculars, Mammal Madness, Woodland Wonders, Outdoor Quest, Aquatic Investigations, Snow Science (winter only), and Beastly Builders.
